Senior year definitely has its kicks. I've learned a valuable lesson about friendship, got accepted to one of the best universities in the world, survived a grueling two months of first semester, survived two colossal arguments with my mom, etc... adding more to the list day by day.
Swim conditioning starts tomorrow! Yay and nay. Yay - opportunity to get in shape and get that "adrenaline rush" that comes with competition. Nay - more time spent in school, and less time sleeping. It's a trade-off. I think that's the most important lesson I learned in Economics last semester.
As of right now, I am uber excited. I get this way anytime I get Yale mail. Teehee. And an added bonus, I found someone I can physically share this excitement with - and not have her judge me or call me "egotistical" or "big-headed." It's awesome. I don't flaunt Yale, people just have the wrong impression (and they need to stop talking about me). But it's extremely pleasant to share the excitement with someone. Thanks, M!
Promise Yourself-
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
and another phrase I like:
If God brought you to it, He'll bring you through it.
Damn right He will. What would I do without Jesus?
